Music 

At Borden, we ensure our children have meaningful and inclusive music curriculum. We encourage our pupils to perform, appraise and compose a range of music. At our school, children have access to music activities detailed below, as well as extra opportunities such as peripatetic music lessons, after school clubs and wider performance opportunities with other schools and in the local community. 

Music Teaching and Clubs

Beech class are currently enjoying weekly flute lessons. Previously they have learnt the clarinet and ukulele 

At Borden, Mr Smith runs a weekly choir club where they learn songs to support community activties and attend Young Voices

Mrs Fox will be starting Recorder lessons in Term 3

Miss Ingram will be starting a Drumming circle in Term 3

7th November 2024 - Day of the Dead Cultural event

28th November 2024 - Rockschool workshop

10th December 2024 - Highsted School Christmas Jamboree (Choir will attend)

7th February 2025 - Borden's Got Talent 

17th /18th March 2025 - Composer work with Years 4,5 and 6 for music and performance

21st May  2025 - Choir/PP trip to see Wicked the Musical

25th June 2025 - Cultural Day focusing on Glastonbury the musical influence

25th June 2025 - Beech Class and Peripatetic music concert

16th July 2025 - Countries Day
