Church School
Our pupils, staff and governors have all been involved in developing our school Christian Values of Love, Hope and Forgiveness. These values form the foundations at Borden and underpin everything that we do.
We celebrate them during our Collective Worship, explore them through our RE lessons and use them in our everyday language.
More importantly, we live them out in everything that we do.
Our Values
Love
The Good Smartian displayed LOVE through his actions. He put aside his beliefs and let love shine through, like Jesus.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevres.

Hope
The Good Smartian displayed HOPE through his actions. He demonstrated that hope ensures that there is always a path forward, like Jesus.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15: 13
Forgiveness
The Good Smartian displayed FORGIVENESS through his desire to help all. He forgave those who persecuted him to help other, like Jesus.
If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in Heaven will also forgive you.’
Compassion
The Good Smartian displayed COMPASSION through displaying kindness through action. His actions helped, like Jesus.
And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Courage
The Good Smartian displayed COURAGE through helping others who had persecuted his people in the past. He overlooked this to help, like Jesus
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go"
